The School Without Walls Penguins will venture away from home to face off against the Avalon Black Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. School Without Walls is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

School Without Walls is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering The Heights just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against The Heights, falling 10-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Nolan Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Philip Wheeler, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Avalon didn't have quite enough to beat The Heights on Saturday and fell 5-3. That's two games in a row now that the Black Knights have lost by exactly two runs.

Javeth Carrion was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Avalon and nudges their season record down to 2-6. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for School Without Walls, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

School Without Walls couldn't quite get it done against Avalon when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 12-7. Can School Without Walls avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
