Volleyball Recap: Rockmart Comes Up Short

Rockmart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Paulding Raiders. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Raiders when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Amazia Christopher paced Rockmart's offense, picking up three kills. Christopher got some help from Avery King and her four assists.

Rockmart's defeat dropped their record down to 11-31. As for East Paulding, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-5.

Coming up, Rockmart will take on Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Paulding, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Campbell on the 2nd.
