Softball Recap: Tri-County North Takes a Loss

Tri-County North lost against Arcanum back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kasidi Daugherty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tri-County North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiley Adkins, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Tri-County North's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Arcanum, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tri-County North is set to square off against their familiar foe Ansonia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Arcanum will face off against rival Newton Local at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
