Softball Recap: Carrabec Cobras vs. North Yarmouth Academy Panthers

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carrabec can now relate to. They lost 12-2 to the North Yarmouth Academy Panthers on Saturday. Carrabec's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

For North Yarmouth Academy's part, Lily Rawnsley spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks. Rawnsley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Kailyn McIntyre and Hayden Wienckowski did most of the damage at the plate: McIntyre scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Wienckowski went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple.
