Soccer Recap: Jefferson County Christian Starts Season with Victory Against Edison

Jefferson County Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Edison Wildcats a 4-0 shutout.

This is the second loss in a row for Edison and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Edison will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Catholic Central at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. Jefferson County Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' game: after the Wildcats face off against Oak Glen, they'll take on Jefferson County Christian again at 1:00 p.m. on September 20.
