Soccer Game Preview: Tooele vs. Jordan

Tooele hasn't had much luck against Jordan recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Buffaloes will take on the Beetdiggers at 3:30 p.m. Tooele has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tooele came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-0 to Green Canyon. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Tooele it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Jordan hadn't done well against Murray recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Beetdiggers who were credited with the victory. Jordan got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Murray's two.

Jordan is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Tooele, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Tooele suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Jordan in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Buffaloes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
