Football Game Preview: Providence Academy vs. Zion Christian Academy Eagles

Providence Academy will face off against the Zion Christian Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Zion Christian Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Providence Academy, who comes in off a win.

Providence Academy took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 62-0 victory over Grace Baptist Academy. The result was nothing new for Providence Academy, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Grace Baptist Academy's QB won't forget Ford Bowman anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Bowman is becoming a predictor of Providence Academy's success: when he posts at least two sacks the team is 3-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Zion Christian Academy's offense. They had to suffer through a 33-0 loss at the hands of Eagleville. The shutout was out of character for Zion Christian Academy seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

The win snapped Providence Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Zion Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
