Football Game Preview: Burbank Bulldogs vs. Bastrop Bears + How To Watch

The Burbank Bulldogs will take on the Bastrop Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Burbank will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Burbank is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lanier, posting a 49-18 victory.

It was another big night for Edward Rodriguez, who rushed for 258 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and one score. Those 258 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Roman Garcia, who threw for 212 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Burbank was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 326 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 306 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Bastrop suffered their biggest defeat since November 22, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 48-14 loss at the hands of Liberty Hill. The loss was the Bears' first of the season.

Burbank's record is now 4-5. As for Bastrop, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.
