Softball Recap: Decatur Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Decatur entered their tilt with Kentlake on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 7-3. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Gators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Audrey Deviney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Decatur got a massive performance out of Kahea Sharpe, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Lila Berg also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Decatur's record is now 7-3. As for Kentlake, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Decatur beat the Falcons by a score of 9-8 later that day.
