Softball Recap: Stark County Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bushnell-Prairie City

Stark County's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Bureau Valley on Thursday. Everything went the Rebels' way against the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans as they made off with a 13-0 win.

Cambri Holmstrom was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Katie Grinnell was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Stark County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bushnell-Prairie City only posted an OBP of .118.

Stark County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-13-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-25.

As of now, neither Stark County nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
