Volleyball Recap: Corinth Holders Falls Short of Laney in the Playoffs

Corinth Holders and Laney squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Corinth Holders had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Buccaneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered since September 4th.

While Corinth Holders was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-23, 25-13.

Leading Laney to victory were Kinsley Nagle and Abigail (Abbey) Hendren. Nagle had 17 assists and nine digs, while Hendren had eight assists and two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Corinth Holders and nudges their season record down to 14-9. As for Laney, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Corinth Holders does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Laney, they will take on Green Hope at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
