Baseball Recap: Beachwood's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Beachwood owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against the Kirtland Hornets by a score of 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bison, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kirtland's batters probably weren't too happy with Josh Rosenblitt, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 15 Ks (he gave up two walks). Rosenblitt has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Beachwood's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gavi Lappen, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Beachwood's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for Kirtland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6.

Coming up, Beachwood will challenge South at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kirtland, they will face off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
