Soccer Recap: Steele Starts Season with Win Against Elyria Catholic

Steele took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They never let the Elyria Catholic Panthers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The score was close at halftime, but Steele pulled away in the second half with two goals.

They hit Elyria Catholic with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Benjamin Thompson, Matthew Hammond, and Noah Clinton.

Looking ahead, Steele will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Firelands at 8:00 p.m. As for Elyria Catholic, they will face off against Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
