Football Recap: Durham Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Durham had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 40-0 loss at the hands of the Redding Christian Lions. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Wyatt Shaw had an outrageously good game for Redding Christian as he threw for 164 yards and five TDs while completing 76% of his passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave Shaw a new career-high. Micah Skinner was Shaw's top target, picking up 27 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Coming up, Durham will welcome Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Redding Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Biggs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
