Jacobs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 53-18 win over the Dundee-Crown Chargers. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 29 points or more this season.

Jacobs had a senior duo take command as Caden DuMelle rushed for 146 yards and two scores on only 11 carries and Michael Cannady rushed for 89 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries. DuMelle's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 146 rushing yards. Justin Gonzalez got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Jacobs was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 376 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 280 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Jacobs' record now sits at 5-2. As for Dundee-Crown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Coming up, Jacobs will face off against Crystal Lake South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles will be up against the Gators' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.57 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dundee-Crown, they will square off against Prairie Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
