Volleyball Recap: Lutheran North Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Rosati-Kain on Friday, Lutheran North came back down to earth. The Crusaders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lutheran North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 28-26, 25-16, 27-25.

Haley Nelson paced Lutheran North's offense, picking up ten kills. Nelson got some help from Jayla Everage and her 20 assists. Nelson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lutheran North's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lutheran North has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Hazelwood East on the 3rd. STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley has also already played their next contest (against Hazelwood West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
