The Opp Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Ashford Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Opp took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Geneva, posting a 38-6 win at home. The Bobcats' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Meanwhile, Ashford can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They breezed by New Brockton on the road to the tune of 41-0. The Yellowjackets pushed the score to 34-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Gamecocks had no chance of recovering from.

Opp pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ashford, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Opp skirted past Ashford 50-48 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Opp since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
