Basketball Game Preview: Patagonia Lobos vs. Willcox Cowboys

The Patagonia Lobos will face off against the Willcox Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Patagonia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Patagonia turned things around against San Manuel on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Miners out 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lobos have posted since January 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, Willcox came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 49-36 win over the Wildkats.

Patagonia's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Willcox, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Patagonia came up short against Willcox when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 46-40. Can Patagonia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
