Baseball Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss

Marquette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gladstone Braves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redmen of the 15-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Marquette saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Desmond Gleason, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Marquette's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Gladstone, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Marquette will face off against Superior Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gladstone, they will square off against Kingsley at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
