Baseball Recap: Central Extends Winning Streak to Five

Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors 13-3. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Central got a massive performance out of Quincy Wilson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Brock Reeves was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-2.

Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Central pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Central will head out on the road to challenge Walton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Walton has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.27 runs per game on average), something Central will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Baker at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
