Volleyball Recap: Seattle Prep Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Seattle Prep duked it out with Seattle Academy on Monday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cardinals. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Seattle Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-13.

Despite the loss, Seattle Academy still got an impressive performance from Gabriela Bunin, who had 22 digs and two aces.

Seattle Prep now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Seattle Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seattle Prep is set to square off against their familiar foe Bishop Blanchet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Seattle Academy will take on rival Eastside Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
