Baseball Recap: Wadley Bulldogs vs. Mt. Zion Eagles

Wadley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell victim to a rough 9-3 defeat at the hands of the Mt. Zion Eagles.

Wadley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dekevion Staples, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Logan Murr, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Wadley's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Mt. Zion, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wadley will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Notasulga at 4:30 p.m. As for Mt. Zion, they will challenge The Weber School at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
