Basketball Recap: A.L. Brown Takes a Loss

A.L. Brown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 58-36 to the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls. The game marked the Wonders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Gavyn Miller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Stanly, putting up 17 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Miller's afternoon made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Valler, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

A.L. Brown's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for South Stanly, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

A.L. Brown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-54 defeat against Mountain Island Charter on the 28th. As for South Stanly, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-44 loss against College Prep & Leadership Academy on the 28th.
