Baseball Game Preview: St. Michael Cardinals vs. Ganado Hornets

The St. Michael Cardinals will venture away from home to square off against the Ganado Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Michael will be strutting in after a win while Ganado will be coming in after a defeat.

13 must be St. Michael's lucky number: they beat Greyhills Academy with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Cardinals beat the Knights by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Meanwhile, Ganado came up short against Window Rock on Monday and fell 10-6.

Ganado got a big performance out of Dante Curtis, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one RBI. Curtis is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games he's played. Andre Sam was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Ganado's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for St. Michael, their victory bumped their record up to 2-11.

St. Michael suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to Ganado when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
