Basketball Recap: Cromwell Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Cromwell entered their tilt with Esko on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Esko Eskomos by a score of 64-51. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Eskomos are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cromwell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabella Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds Anderson has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Siiena Anderson, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points along with five assists and five boards.

Cromwell pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Esko, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-14.

Cromwell has already played their next matchup, a 73-15 victory against Two Harbors on the 28th. Esko has also already played their next contest (against Moose Lake/Willow River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
