Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Legacy). Everything went their way against the Skyline Falcons on Monday as the Legacy Lightning made off with a 68-42 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lightning had established a 23 point advantage.

Legacy had a senior duo take command as Matthew Allshouse dropped a triple-double on ten points, ten boards, and ten assists and Trey Johnson went 6 of 11 en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for Johnson. Another player making a difference was Jake Puttkamer, who posted nine points.

Legacy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyline only pulled down two offensive boards.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Johnny McCray, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 14 points. The victory got Legacy back to even at 5-5. As for Skyline, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Legacy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-36 win against Fort Collins on the 15th.
