After a string of five wins, Pioneer's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 8-3 to the Branham Bruins. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bruins earlier this season, when they won 13-0.

Colton Bermillo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Branham, their record now sits at 12-9.
