After having lost a blowout in their previous game against United, Laredo LBJ was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the United South Panthers by a score of 21-14. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Panthers are ranked 740th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Mauricio Lopez, who rushed for 91 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Laredo LBJ's record is now 7-3. As for United South, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Laredo LBJ will head out to take on Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. United South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
