Basketball Recap: Jujuan Nettles' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Moss Point over Pass Christian

If Moss Point was riding high fresh off their 71-39 takedown of Poplarville on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Moss Point Tigers fell 63-55 to the Pass Christian Pirates on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Moss Point's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jujuan Nettles, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 22 points. That's the most points Nettles has posted since back in December of 2024. Kevon Ford was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Moss Point's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Pass Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Moss Point will face off against Bay at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bay will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Moss Point surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pass Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Greene County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Greene County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
