After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Winters Mill, North County was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Overlea Falcons with a sharp 12-1 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Everett Hontz, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Brown, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

North County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Overlea, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North County will host Chesapeake at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Overlea, they will challenge Owings Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.67 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
