Basketball Recap: Winside Takes a Loss

Winside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Wausa Vikings 62-34. The Wildcats lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in January of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 72-22 score last time.

Winside's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Wausa, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winside will head out to square off against Bancroft-Rosalie at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wausa, they will venture away from home to face off against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on Thursday.
