            Baseball Recap: Mt. Markham Mustangs vs. Sherburne-Earlville Marauders        
        
		
        
        
            Mt. Markham entered their tilt with Sherburne-Earlville on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Marauders by a score of  8-3. The  matchup marked the Mustangs' most dominant  victory of the  season so far.
 Lloyton Plummer Jr. made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. Plummer Jr. was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Nathan Pcola, who  went 4-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Owen Jones, who  went 4-for-5 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Mt. Markham  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 19  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in three consecutive  contests.
Mt. Markham's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sherburne-Earlville,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
 Looking ahead, Mt. Markham will take on Little Falls at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Sherburne-Earlville, they will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oriskany at 4:30  p.m.  on  the 30th.
