Basketball Recap: River Valley Takes a Loss

River Valley was the 58-29 winner over Fennimore when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The River Valley Blackhawks were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 43-42 to the Fennimore Golden Eagles. The contest marked the Blackhawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

River Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Fennimore, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

While River Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
