Football Recap: Hopkinton Takes a Loss

Hopkinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 28-6 to the Holliston Panthers. The Hillers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Holliston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paul McGrath led the charge by picking up 104 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 61 yards. Holliston also got a significant boost from Max Maurao, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.

Hopkinton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Holliston, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Hopkinton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 31-0 defeat against Norwood on the 17th. As for Holliston, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-13 loss against Ashland on the 17th.
