Soccer Game Preview: Damien vs. Rancho Cucamonga

The Damien Spartans will head out to challenge the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Damien will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Los Osos, who they had gone 0-8-1 against in their nine prior meetings. Damien skirted past Los Osos 2-1. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, neither Rancho Cucamonga nor Chino Hills could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

The win made it two in a row for Damien and bumps their season record up to 7-8-2. Rancho Cucamonga's draw gives them a new season record of 7-4-3.

Damien might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Rancho Cucamonga in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Damien was down 4-1.
