Basketball Game Preview: Auburn Mountainview Lions vs. Evergreen Plainsmen

The Auburn Mountainview Lions will face off against the Evergreen Plainsmen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Auburn Mountainview made off with a 35-34 victory over Gig Harbor.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evergreen). They blew past Kelso, posting a 90-49 win. The Plainsmen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.

Evergreen pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points over those games. As for Auburn Mountainview, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
