Recap: Odyssey Charter School Titans vs. Edgewood Red Wolves
The Odyssey Charter School Titans lost against the Edgewood Red Wolves back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Odyssey Charter School fell to Edgewood 46-42. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Odyssey Charter School in their matchups with Edgewood: they've now lost six in a row.
Odyssey Charter School's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamale Long, who scored 18 points. Jevenson Antoine was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Edgewood found their leader in underclassman Brayden Wasdin, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Wasdin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Eddie Monterrubio, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Odyssey Charter School's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
Odyssey Charter School won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nazaret Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Edgewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Melbourne Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Melbourne Central Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
