Basketball Recap: Van Comes Up Short

Van was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Canton Eagles 69-38. While losing is never fun, the Vandals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Eagles are ranked 66th).

Van's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Canton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Van will face off against Mabank at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lindale at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
