Basketball Recap: David Anderson Takes a Loss

David Anderson was the 51-37 winner over Valley Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The David Anderson Blue Devils lost 69-45 to the Valley Christian Eagles on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Blue Devils have suffered against the Eagles since January 22, 2021.

This is the second loss in a row for David Anderson and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Valley Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. David Anderson will venture away from home to square off against Leetonia at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge Columbiana at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Columbiana has won five straight at home, while Valley Christian won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
