Cross County waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Morrill Lions.

Cross County took Morrill into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-18, 25-22, 20-25, 16-14.

Ava Pruter paced Cross County's offense, picking up 22 kills. Pruter got some help from Eden Peterson and her 50 assists. Cortina Donnelly controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Cross County's victory bumped their record up to 26-8. As for Morrill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-5.

Coming up, Cross County will challenge Amherst at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morrill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
