Basketball Recap: Holmes County Find Success

After losing to Graceville the last time they met, Holmes County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Holmes County Blue Devils managed a 51-47 victory over the Graceville Tigers on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Graceville lost, don't look at Bryson Reynolds. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Those 26 points gave Reynolds a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kamari Gilyard, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards.

Holmes County now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Graceville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holmes County will welcome Freeport at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Graceville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cottondale at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Cottondale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.
