Zavalla took a 46-point loss the last time they faced off against Alto, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles skirted past the Yellowjackets 52-49. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Zavalla's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Garret Dikes, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Dikes now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Maverick Renfro, who posted seven points.

Zavalla smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Zavalla moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Alto, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Zavalla has already played their next contest, a 70-48 defeat against Normangee on the 22nd. As for Alto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-31 loss against Centerville on the 22nd.
