In what's become a running theme this season, the Pershing County Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 55-14 victory over Silver Stage. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-6.
Pershing County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anna Happy, who scored eight points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Raegan Burrows, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Pershing County's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Silver Stage, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Pershing County will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Coral Academy of Science - Reno at 2:00 p.m. Coral Academy of Science - Reno will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Pershing County is ranked 19th). As for Silver Stage, they will head out on the road to square off against Yerington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Yerington is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
