4A Region III District 22 recap October 8, 2013

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ridge Point, who took down 84th ranked Fort Bend Marshall, 24-21. Jax Bigger caught 5 passes for 148 yards during the win.

The Panthers scaled the state rankings by moving to 148 from 247 this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region III District 22. Ridge Point climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Buffalos 24-21.

Weston Shattuck was a passing and rushing force as Tomball defeated Northbrook. He completed 8 passes for 103 yards and also ran for 167 yards. Shattuck's key target this week was Trent Hohl, who caught 2 passes for 48 yards.

Bigger was the best wideout in the league this week as Brett Sniffin's team bested Fort Bend Marshall. Bigger tallied 5 receptions for 148 yards. Jonah Jordan helped Ridge Point's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 39 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when James Williams' team takes on Stratford. At the moment, the Buffalos are in second, while the Spartans are in third.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Fort Bend Marshall takes on Stratford. The Buffalos have allowed 55 points this season, while Eliot Allen's team has given up 73. Fort Bend Marshall allowed 24 points last week as it fell to the Panthers.

Ridge Point extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region III District 22 this week by beating the Buffalos, 24-21. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Panthers.
