Basketball Recap: Eau Claire Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Chester wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eau Claire, they should've done a better job of containing Atreyveon Branch. The Eau Claire Shamrocks blew past the Chester Cyclones 69-24 on Tuesday thanks in part to Branch, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was AJ Garner, who posted eight points and four steals. Those four steals gave him a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Eau Claire and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Chester, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Eau Claire didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-49 loss against Fairfield Central on the 30th. As for Chester, they will be playing at home against Mid-Carolina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
