Basketball Preview: Bandys Trojans vs. West Caldwell Warriors
Bandys is 2-8 against West Caldwell since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bandys Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the West Caldwell Warriors at 8:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Bandys was able to grind out a solid victory over Newton-Conover, taking the game 52-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Caldwell). They strolled past West Lincoln with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 92-78. The Warriors pushed the score to 71-48 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rebels cut but never quite recovered from.
West Caldwell has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points over those games. As for Bandys, their record is now 15-6.
