Basketball Recap: St. Christopher Academy Takes a Loss

St. Christopher Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Beddingfield Bruins.

Beddingfield found their leader in sophomore Rashad Williams, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. Williams also set a new season-high mark in three-point shooting accuracy with 50%. Another player making a difference was Darrian Jones, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

St. Christopher Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Beddingfield, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, St. Christopher Academy will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Greenville at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beddingfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
