Texas City came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Pasadena, but Emily De La Garza wouldn't allow it. It took a bit of extra time, but the Eagles secured a 50-49 win against the Stingarees in overtime on Tuesday thanks in part to De La Garza: he posted 34 points and six steals. De La Garza has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played.
The victory got Pasadena back to even at 1-1. As for Texas City, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
