Volleyball Game Preview: Wesley Chapel Wildcats vs. Mitchell Mustangs

The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will square off against the Mitchell Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Wesley Chapel: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Mitchell has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.

Last Thursday, Wesley Chapel beat Osceola 3-1.

Wesley Chapel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 27-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Mitchell not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Weeki Wachee with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 25-20.

Wesley Chapel's win bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Mitchell, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.

Wesley Chapel beat Mitchell 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
