Softball Recap: Southwest Edgecombe Falls Short of North Lenoir in the Playoffs

SouthWest Edgecombe and North Lenoir squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but SouthWest Edgecombe had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 19-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since March 14th.

Mackenzie Moore made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

SouthWest Edgecombe moved to 13-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for North Lenoir, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
